Steve has over 35 years’ experience of process engineering and senior management, mainly in the mining and recycling sectors. Steve has a wealth of knowledge with regards to mining and recycling techniques, and has used that knowledge to create new process routes for lightweight refractories, kaolin processing, wood recycling, aluminium recycling, and now recycling of lead and lithium batteries.
Recently, the majority of Steve’s time has been spent on developing novel recycling techniques for various battery types, and upscaling the pilot plants developed during that time into full-scale industrial processes.
Following eighteen successful years at Panasonic UK Ltd, promoting and selling office equipment through their UK dealership network and directly to corporate customers, Ralph moved into the recycling arena, helping customers with their disposal requirements for end-of-life IT equipment and data destruction services.
Ralph now specialises in battery recycling and has worked with a number of global automotive manufacturers with recycling and re-use services for electric vehicle lithium-ion batteries, along with industrial and portable batteries.
Ashleigh has over 10 years’ experience in the investment and financial services industry and has been involved in numerous investments, advisory and capital raising for both private and public companies.
Ashleigh is the founder of the Xetrov Group of companies. In 2016, she recognized the enormous potential of the Clean6 vortex technology and has subsequently invested in and managed the commercialisation of Clean6 Ltd. Together with the engineering team, she secured the required permitting in the UK. Following successful permitting of the Clean6 technology, she founded and has since grown the Xetrov Group globally and into several different sectors.
Ashleigh is also a partner at Merlin Partners LLP, an international boutique corporate finance firm (FCA regulated).
At the onset of her career, Ashleigh worked at GMP Securities on the Institutional Equity Sales team, specialising in the mining, energy and agriculture sectors. Prior to joining the Equity Sales team, she gained valuable experiences in the Close Asset Management Unit, where she acted as analyst for the
Pan-European Equity Fund.

His diverse career has covered leadership roles, operations, sales, project management, and engineering, working with many organisations, from SMEs to global manufacturing corporations across the UK and the EMEA region.
Jo is currently Managing Director of Pyrenergy, a UK based energy-from-waste and recycling business, diverting hydrocarbon waste away from landfill, incineration, and export, and towards circularity, recovering materials and renewable energy from difficult to recycle waste, using pyrolysis technology, a thermochemical depolymerisation process.

Diane has over 25 years’ experience as a safety and environmental professional, and is the founder of SQE Assurance, a business formed 4 years ago to provide occupational safety, environmental and quality consultancy.
Diane and her team are specialists in the design and implementation of management systems aimed to improve process efficiency and performance. Diane’s specific areas of expertise are in automotive and hazardous waste.
Spencer has nearly 30 years’ experience in the engineering sector, specialising in thermal engineering and the battery recycling industry. Military trained, with experience in senior management, project management, installations, and commissioning of plants across the world.
Since 2017, Spencer has worked in the lead-acid battery recycling industry, designing, building, and commissioning the UK’s first independent, fully-automatic battery system. He has also been involved in the commercialisation and subsequent scale-up of a revolutionary patented battery recycling technology with the University of Cambridge.
