The Future of Lithium-Ion Battery Recycling
The lithium-ion battery industry is experiencing a period of remarkable growth, driven by the expanding electric vehicle and e-Mobility sectors. According to IDTechEx, the EV battery market is projected to reach $380 billion by 2034.
As demand for lithium-ion batteries continues to rise, the importance of managing their sustainability throughout their lifecycle—from raw material extraction, battery manufacture, battery usage, and end-of-life (EOL) management— are challenges that are being met.Recyclus is proud to be at the forefront of advancing sustainability in the lithium-ion battery recycling industry.
Through our innovative processes, we transform industrial quantities of used lithium-ion batteries into reusable materials. Recyclus is currently capable of recycling 8,300 tonnes of lithium-ion per year and is the first UK entity capable of operating at this scale.
